Our History

While growing up and volunteering at various soup kitchens in FL and CT, Jim Fedak, Jr had a vision of someday opening his own soup kitchen. While working at a non-profit in the Valley he saw firsthand that the people in the area were in need and believed there was a hidden problem. Jim shared his vision with some close friends and they agreed that the Valley needs a community meal program.

They decided to serve one meal as an experiment to find out for themselves if anyone would attend. They advertised in stores, area businesses and in newspapers. In October 2010 they opened their doors at Christ Episcopal Church for this experimental offering. People were invited to donate and volunteers prepared a hot meal consisting of pasta and meatballs. Everyone was welcome to eat whether they were in need or not. They waited with deep anticipation. Twenty-three people turned out at that first meal and touched their hearts. They knew that this was a mission that was needed in the Valley. Thus, Master's Table Community Meals was born and opened their doors on a monthly basis beginning February 2011.

Master's Table Community Meals was created from a need in our community. There was no food mission available and we felt directed by God to fulfill this need.
