Food For Kids Packing Event

Volunteers met March 1st to pack meals for the Food for Kids program.
Recentlly on March first 9 volunteers gathered at one of the church meeting rooms and prepared packages for the Food for Kids program.
The packages provide some breakfast and dinner foods that can be easitly prepared, and snacks to got with them. The food is delivered on Friday's to help filll in weeked meals when the school programs are not available.
At the event, we spend the first hour laying out all the food to be packed and the second hour placing the availalble items in bags and storing them on selves.
We packed 260 meals that will cover 20 children for the remainer of the school year.
