Helping Hands to Benefit Master’s Table Community Meals, Inc.
As you may be aware, the Master's Table Community Meals, Inc has partnered with Helping Hands Community Thrift Store and Furniture Bank which was created in 2010 as a fundraising vehicle for our non-profit partners and as a resource for much needed furniture our clients.
We have found that many donors are unable to write a check to their favorite organizations but are willing to clean out their attics, basements and closets to generate dollars for the same organizations. Helping Hands has been a way for our non-profit partners to remain in touch with their donors without directly asking for a cash donation.
The concept is simple. Members urge their supporters, board, friends, employees to donate their gently used furniture and household items to Helping Hands in the name of their organization. We barcode every item that comes in the door and when it’s sold, 18% of the sale price goes back to the organization.
